AI and Advanced Features

The Matrice 4 Series stands out with its AI-powered vehicle, vessel and people identification capabilities. Its integrated laser range finder enables precise real-time measurements for marking, line drawing and area calculations. Advanced flight modes like FlyTo and Smart Track enhance workflow efficiency. While the Mavic 3 Enterprise lacks these AI features and the range finder, it offers superior portability.

Visible Camera Systems

The Matrice 4 Series features enhanced optics with a 3x optical telephoto lens capable of identifying minute details at 10 metres, and a 7x telephoto camera effective up to 250 metres. Its one-tap dehazing feature proves invaluable in poor visibility conditions. The system provides 128× zoom control, doubling the Mavic 3 Enterprise's 56x hybrid zoom capability.

Surveying Precision

Both drones utilise a 20MP 4/3 CMOS wide-angle camera with mechanical shutter for surveying. However, the Matrice 4E offers:

  • Faster shooting interval (0.5s vs 0.7s)

  • Higher flight speed (21m/s vs 15m/s)

  • 5-directional oblique capture compared to Mavic's 3-directional

  • Built-in RTK module (optional extra for Mavic)

  • Smart 3D Capture functionality

Thermal Capabilities

Both models support DJI's Thermal Analysis Tool and split-screen zoom. The Matrice 4T advances beyond the Mavic 3T's 640 × 512 resolution sensor with:

  • Enhanced focal length

  • NIR illumination up to 100 metres

  • 1280 × 1024 infrared super-resolution

  • Superior low-light performance via 1/1.3 CMOS sensor
